    @Neme: I saw it right now.THX!!!
The Item-Scrolling! What's the max of additional OSD-Items now (and does it slow down the OSD?)?

    This is amazing,...
THIS is a true enhancement to the "old" FMCB 1.6-OSD-Hack (in my eyes, even if I'm not sure if it slows it down a bit,...).
(If it can now also auto-scroll on button-hold, it would be perfect,... Just a thought,...)

The third entry from the bottom. lol
    Hope to see a public-release anytime. ^^

@JNABK: I bet you to leave it more time,... You see what can be done, if more time passes.

This is regarding FMCB 1.6 (I don't have access to the beta )...

I may be missing it somewhere, but is there any way currently to copy extra files to MC?:SYS-CONF, BOOT, etc? It seems only .ELF files from INSTALL are copied to MC?:BOOT currently.

I'm trying to figure out how to set it up to copy my IPCONFIG.DAT, LAUNCHELF.CNF, uLaunchElf skins, etc., over during the install. I'd like to get it set up so it is completely configured as I want it after the install.

If something like this isn't currently possible, might I suggest looking for a folder called, say "ROOT", or "MC", or some such in the INSTALL folder, and copying any files AND folders from there to the memory card as a last step? This would cover any files in "non-standard" locations, such as a "SMS" directory for it's skins and settings. Could also include SYS-CONF or BOOT in there, with any additional files you wanted copied.

Well there is a folder used to copy those extra files used for other apps, they go in the APPS folder and you can map to then, copy them to another location...whatever after the install.

But Free McBoot is only meant as an installer to install the Free McBoot launcher and a few of the commonly used apps can be automatically used by the FMCB Launcher so there is something to launch. But its not possible to have the installer install things used for each individual app to locations they require.

You still have to do manual installing /copying for those apps , same as before. You could put all your apps and related files for those apps on a USB stick and simply run uLaunchelf, then copy the entire directories to the MC, as this is one of the purposes of uLaunchelf, its the best file manager you will ever find.

Might it not make more sense to copy a ROOT folder to the MC, so the users can set up the install however they want? They could even put an Apps folder inside that one, to get the same functionality as we currently have.

I really view it as an "unattended OS install". If we could specify a ROOT folder to copy on each install, then the installer could EASILY setup all your applications for you (just takes a bit of work on the user's part to set up, but the advantage is, it only needs to be done once).

Oh, and I realized it could be done in uLaunchElf, I was just hoping for a way to avoid the extra steps currently needed.

@JoeUser38: This idea was already proposed,...
But this "enhancement" wouldn't be necessary anymore in the next FMCB-release.
Maybe the max. OSD-Item-Number can be increased again a bit (but needs a new routine in CNF-Parser in FMCB-Loader I think).
So, it will not check for Entry 1 + 2 + 3 + ... on it's own, but checking 1 + following automatically, to a last defined value (be it 32, or something).
But that also needs a configurator-change, so if it come is another question.

The next FMCB also supports loading of the FMCB-Config from USB-Mass.
...and with the nice hack by Neme, a fmcb-app-pack for OSD (loaded from USB) can be done quickly...

Could you elaborate on that? What is changing in the next release that would make it where you wouldn't want to be able to copy folders and files of your choosing to the MC?

It isn't necessary anymore, because the CNF could be loaded from USB, as well as the ELFs,...
Jimmi decided to not integrate a "RAW-Copy-Folder"-Option to the installer.

Darn! For me, it would still be necessary, then; guess I'll have to do it manually, then, copying a "ROOT" folder in uLaunchElf. I prefer to be able to make a self-contained MC, no USB stick needed. Also, seems SMS is picky about where it's config files are... believe they have to be in MC0:SMS? Currently no way of copying that during the install. Have to remember, not all programs can get their configuration files from MASS: (including IPCONFIG.DAT).
To err is human. To really foul up requires a computer.

I understand your opinion exactly, but well...
I proposed it the same way (RAW-Copy-Folder) a while ago,... ^^ (...because of the same reason,...)
