With a V9 or above you can reset the console via remote control, too.
Humm... why people with AUS consoles and JAP don't dump their bios, run it thru rom_tools and hex edit osdsys in order to see what are the folder that OSD update search on startup?
It's all there! :D
I can't say anything about PAL-AUS and PAL-EUR consoles but :
USA V1 to V3 only boot from osd120.elf (DVD driver 1.10U) or osd130.elf (DVD driver 1.20U) and all other US consoles will boot from osdmain.elf.
For JP Consoles it is like this:
10k and 15k (no DVD driver) boots osdsys.elf
18k boots from osd130.elf
30k and newer boots from odsmain.elf.
I believe it's pretty much like that for EUR and AUS, too
The people who get valid osdxxx.elf for their MC, could also copy it to BxEXEC-DVDPLAYER and call it dvdplayer.elf . It'll only boot if a Video-DVD is inserted, but it may work on this old versions.
Just a lil workaround, till this is fixed.
Can an elf file be unpacked/extracted from the osdmain.elf?
Where did the free mcboot downloads go? I wanted to download 1.2c but the release thread doesnt have any links. Did I miss something earlier in the thread?
actually, i was thinking the same thing.
yeah wierd ..
