We have had this argument with people like this many many times.

they can charge what they like for their time to install. We cant stop that. AS long as they dont charge for FMCB itself or claim that it is theirs or alter the splash screen.

i dont like it either but there is nothing that can be done except educate people that we can do the same thing FREE...... after all thats what the F in FMCB means.......

Thanks for the replies guys. It gets up my nose too Spud42 and I'm a kiwi. I know that a lot of people from here have worked on this and they get shitty because other people claim that it's theirs when we all know who created it.

Same thing happens with other PS2 homebrews like Open PS2 Loader for instance. Once, I saw someone selling PS2PSxe too.

It's really a shame, but the only effective way to at least decrease this situation is to spread informations about homebrews in everywhere, so that more people have the chance to know them.

We at 303Mods charge for the price of importing the memory cards as well as the time taken to install the product for our clients.

We ONLY claim that we wrote the instruction guide, and compiled the PC suite. As this is true. We found that advanced documentation was required to allow this mod to be used by our customers.

I tried using a hacked 1.7/1.8 one time without a splash screen (for my own viewing pleasure), but after a while it started hanging so I have now gone back too the splash screen. I'm currently enjoying 1.8c.

I have found on this online site that deals with online purchases (like Bosnian ebay :P it is one of strongest in Bosnia that ppl are selling moded cards and charging for modifications. Maybe someone shoul write to the administrators of this site and tell them that ppl are selling something that is obviously free and there is some breach of copyright or how you want to call it.

I mean, it is one thing if someone is selling his PS2 with moded card which I believe is not an issue, including accessories, but selling only the moded card or charging just for installation it is, well lame at least!

I believe that if an well written email to the admins of this site is placed by someone who stands behind FreeMcboot that they will warn the ppl to remove this or they get banned.

If this is important to anyone...I would appreciate if an update on this subject is placed here, if someone cares enough to do so... Cheers
