Free Mcboot automatically goes to the official Browser menu...
Hi there, I recently installed Free McBoot using the Agent Under Fire trick. Worked wonderfully. I'm just now rediscovering the magic of what my ps2 can do.
However, I'm having some issues getting the boot setup to be how I want. I want the ps2 to NOT boot at all into a disc automatically when there's one in the drive. If I have Fastboot on, it boots directly to my ESR'd disc I have in there. I figured as much. With it off, (and with skip disc either on or off, no difference) when I turn on the ps2 I get a quick blip of the free mcboot menu and it jumps to the ps2 Browser (memory card and disc display) but doesn't do anything there. Huh? I can press circle and get back to my mcboot menu and goodies. If I don't have a disc in when I power up, it doesn't do this Browser behavior, it just shows my mcboot. The setting for booting to the browser is definitely off, by the way.
Is there any way I can turn on my ps2, with a disc in it, and not have that annoying entrance into the ps2 Browser? If I'm not playing the disc, I always have to circle out of it and hear the booting noise twice. I would like it to display ONLY Free McBoot when I turn on, the same as if no disc is in the drive.
Is there any setting to do this? Any help would be appreciated!
