I just got an HD PVR and I was excited to test it out with the old PS2 only to find that FreeMCBoot isn't loading to the uLaunch any more. I have no idea why. When I turn the PS2 on, I get the FreeMCboot logo as usual, but then it brings in the swirly dots and gives me the menu to choose between Browser, System Config, uLaunch, and FreeMCboot config. If I go to uLaunch, it takes me to the loader that it's SUPPOSED to take me to automatically anyway, and then when I choose any menu item, it just freezes there.
I'm mostly irritated because I've no idea why this would suddenly be happening. I haven't made any changes to any settings or configuration prior to this problem. I've now been making changes in attempt to get it to autoboot the uLaunch loader again, but I've had no success.
What's additionally odd is that when I go to the FMCB configurator and check the E1-E3 shortcut settings, none of my shortcuts are there. However, if I manually navigate to the uLaunch menu as described above, they are there but do not work.
I had it all set up the way I wanted for a couple of years now, and all of the sudden it's not working. Do I have to start over? I don't even remember how I installed FMCB it was so long ago.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
(it would be additionally frustrating to have to reinstall it all because I had/have a working Codebreaker ON the memory card that runs just fine with cogswap and all that... and I just remember that being a really difficult thing to accomplish successfully).
