FMCB spam thru private messages

I have gotten 2 spam PM's now about FMCB from users with no posts.

The first was from theSAVIOR titled "Retail version enjoy!" and inside was a link to filefactory to a rar file of FMCB. My first thought was, there is no "retail" version of FMCB, it's free! And then, why would I get it from filefactory when it's posted on this freaking forum. Then my final thought, why are ppl with 0 posts allowed to send PM's? I know vBulletin has a setting to control that....

I'll get either dangwoot or xiaNaix to fix that up. and I agree, no user under 5 posts should have access to PM's.

The users (who are actually one) has been a pain in the ass for quite some time now. He essentially ripped everything good about FMCB, and ripped the copyright info/screens and tries to pass it off as his own everyday. He's worse than a god damn sexually transmitted disease.

He's also been pulling that shit at SKSApps as well. Annoying ****er that he is, just won't go away after numerous bans.

So this guy unlocked the secret to replacing the splash screen logo.
I wish the logo was irreplaceable, but the background of the logo was customizable. To keep FMCB's integritah, and have it customizable to anybody's likings. Maybe slate it for FMCB 2.0? Have different colors for the logo for ppl to chose from as to match the background they'll be using. Would be nice.

well, he's also the main reason why the source code to fmcb 1.8 wasn't released. basiclally since he abused 1.5 and 1.7 sources this way.

No he didnt unlock anything, he just lurked around the forums here and read a thread were a few of us were 'tinkering' with the FMCB 1.7 and we discussed changing the images, but we werent thinking of anyone else using that knowledge to go act like they did something spectacular, so we kinda told him what to do......now we know better.

He's just a litle kid, probably gets beat or sexually abused by his dad and so he needs something to occupy himself with, and i guess he gets a thrill from making unsuspecting noobs think he's something special, but will soon realise he's realy just a wannabe and is just another nobody.

Im guessing its some kinda 'power trip' he's got going on n his head or something......since his daddy abuses him so much, must be his only 'outlet'.

You know, I don't think the guy is doing anything wrong. He is like a mad dog without a leash.

It's ease to call the guy 'this or that' or attack him for something he did that you guys don't agree or didn't like, but why no one took the hard part?
Why no one call the guy aside and talk to him?

- Hey, look. Do you wanna help?
- This is how we do it.

The guy did two releases, one named 'RETAIL' and other named 'PLUS', i've downloaded both, both files has the source code from 1.7 inside so, this is the nature of open source projects, right? You change what ever you want as long you provide the source code with your changes?

The guy is doing just that.

As long you guys keep push him away, more and more he will get mad about it. Right now he is trying to push his work here, but one day he will get tired of this and will produce a fork from the original and release some place else.

Yes, the guy is a kid with a lot of skill in potential, this doesn't mean he has any, you guys can choose if you have some one working with you or against you. The smart thing to do is to harness this power to something productive and not give the guy names and push him away.

thats why its Called Free MC BOOT ..

if the splash screen or any other changes were for good then there would be a source available for everyone ..

ppl just making money of something Free ..

Like I said, he is a mad dog without a leash, until some one educate him to work for you, not against you.

Do you know the phrase "Keep your friends close and your enemies closer?"

You guys are the real deal, you guys are the true hackers that made this possible, he is just a kid trying to prove him self or "join the club" with a wrong attitude. As a leader of something you can influence others to "play along" with you or make him prove himself to see if he worth something else, how far he can go?

It's better to take the leash and have some control of it before he start to rip not only the splash screen, but start stealing all your hard work. Every time some one call the guy "shit" or other names, you are giving him incentive to prove he is not and making matters worse.
