hi im wondering if fmcb has the screen fix for playing a NTSC game on a pal console you get the top half of the game cut of and it shuvd up the top with a blank bottum part.

i have ff8 backup in ntsc and im trying to play it on my ps2 PAL v12 using the swap trick . However i get only half the screen as its in pal.. is there a .elf or somthing associated with FMCB which will fix my problem as i dont wannaconvert and reburn 4 disks because that will take forever it took ages to back them up
    thankyou

Properly using cdloader or swap magic makes the trick, but I don't exactly remember now as I haven't played any other region games by swap in a long time.

    He talked about PSX.

    No way yet,...
Maybe there is a PS1-Software, with which you can swap and force-PSX-V-Mode, but not sure about.
    PS2 V7/DMS3 V2 (FW:2.4b7); Seagate Baracuda 200GB
    PS2 V7/CC1.0 (FW:34 hacked v2 BM:2.1.6); Maxtor DiamondMAX9 PLUS 160GB
    PS2 SCPH-30004R; NoMod+NoLaser

    3xSony BBA
    3xSony MC 8MB
    MAX/Datel 16MB with Boot-CD
    MAX/Datel 32MB&64MB

    Custom FMCB 1.8b+ Beta-Build, my AIO 0.5, Sony&xRhino-Linux

If you are talking about using the PAL console with a PAL TV set, like it is intended to be used, then there should be no problem, except maybe with very old and inflexible TV sets. A modern PAL TV has no problem at all to display NTSC signals properly, except that an RGB cable is needed to get colour (due to incompatible colour modulation).

On the other hand, if you are using a PAL console with an NTSC TV set, then all bets are off...

Possibly your problem is caused by the other disc involved in the swapping, so that info from its SYSTEM.CNF may have affected the video mode somehow...

    Best regards: dlanor
