Nope, it is on the backside/bottom of the PS2, where the SCPH-Number is also labeled at.

I used to work for a retail store, and there have been come PS2s sitting there for months, so I'm pretty sure I can find a place that has some old ones. EDIT: also, there's no way to flash a bios onto a ps2 like there is for other consoles, is there?
The only part I know about, which is writeable is the different ID-Stuff, such as Machine-ID, Laser-ID/Type and so on.
But I´m not sure, if this is saved in NVRAM or where...
