    Hi !
I have a hard modded SCPH-50004 with a broken drive, i just borrow a SCPH-39003 from a friend and his ps2 is not modded.Someone told me that a multi install will have a high chance to work from a 03 to a 04 region code.So i have this solution, i just need to get a way to boot the FMCB installer, maybe with codebreaker.I will try to get a retail disk from a local store.

    OR

Is it possible to swap a SCPH-39003 ps2 drive with a SCPH-50004 and use this drive to load a burned copy of codebreaker?

Or there is another way i can to install FMCB on my ps2 ?

TnA: I wasnt able to do the experiment with my friend ps2 slim( ntsc ) as his modded ps2 didnt boot the burned copy of codebreaker v10 i had with me. I wasn't at home to get this job done.

After some more research... I will try to get it done using Game Swap trick, I have some genuine pal games and want to try this out but i dont have any which is confirmed working.
Here is my list:Mx2002(cd version),Burnout2,Zone of the enders,Ratchet Clank2,Dead or Alive 2,Fifa2003,MotoGP3,TD overdrive and Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell.
You expert can give me a hint and i may try it out...
Basically it is just a way to boot uLaunchELF inside a game by triggering an elf file.
    Am Right???
Update1: No elf file with the games i have :/

    Sorry for the late reply.

Yes, basically you only need a way to start aHomebrew-Application (normally uLE, because it can 'browse' almost all devices, which could be connected to a PS2).

    PS2 V7/CC1.0 (FW:34 hacked v2 BM:2.1.6); Maxtor DiamondMAX9 PLUS 160GB
    PS2 SCPH-30004R; NoMod+NoLaser

If there's a rental place nearby with PS2 games, they'll probably have something - just make sure you destroy the modified copy when you return it so you're not breaking any laws.

Another option, is many of the known swappable games are really cheap on eBay, so you could get one from there. Obviously, the disadvantage there is you'll have to wait for delivery, but patience is a virtue.
