hey guys

i am having some problems with the free mcboot 1.5

i used the SKSApps SwapMagic Tutorial and installed the Free MCBoot. i started the ps2 with the MC and got to the menu

Browser
system configuration
Launch Free McBoot


i start the Free McBoot but it does not start it restarts back to the same menu.

i dont know what i did wrong
any help?

lol....nope you didnt do anything wrong, thats what is supposed to happen if you didnt 'add' a BOOT.ELF with the installer.

You can still fix that with what zamaelagares said above.

This is still a BETA app, hopefully the next version will have ironed out everything.

Much easier man,...
Put a RESCUE.ELF on USB-Stick and it directly starts, if you plug it in and then poweron your PS2, or if you plug your USB-Stick in, if your PS2 is already on and then use "Launch Free MCBoot".

In uLE-Relese-Thread.
There is a "Search"-Button on top of the page.
"unofficial LaunchELF".
You can place any ELF in given places, not only ule.

it says "failed to load LAUNCHELF.CNF"

He only booted to "OSDSYS" (maybe 2nd auto-boot in CNF).
Probably he has ESR-mc on USB-Stick (1st autoboot in CNF) and uLE anywhere, where ESR searches for it (i.e.: "mc?:/BOOT/BOOT.ELF", or "mc?:/BxDATA-SYSTEM/BOOT.ELF").

At this point, since you have uLaunchELF running, it has become a uLE problem and should be in the uLaunchELF subforum
