if you have another card and the first one still stores save games ok then the best idea is to install FMCB to the second card and to have that in slot 2 and the card you cant install to in slot 1. that way you have a full card to put your saves on.

Its my current setup actually
hehe...
Well, its clear now that its my fake card that has a problem with mcid...
mcid.elf always displays
SECRDownloadFile: Cannot download kbit
so i guess, it doesnt have a mcid... hahaha... dumb card.
Thanks for the replies!!
I'll just go and buy another card i guess for my another console,(in case my friend would lend it to me. - dead lens also.. haha)
Good day All,
please i have a 10k fat ps2 which can read cd and dvd and i have gotten the xmodules and i was told to put them in the module folder, now my problem is how do i create the FMCB cd, i already have a package that installs from USB drive but i have never done the cd compilation before, my question here is that if i directly burn the installer package on my USB stick directly onto a cd will my 10k read it or needs anything else before it will work, if it needs what do i need to do?
Thank you.
in there FMCB guide there is a tutorial how to create FMCB CD installer
True, but I doubt very much that this contains explicit details on how to prepare the package for use with the old 10K model, which Denice asked about.
At least I don't see any such details, though I know they exist.
Someone else who has done it for such consoles (so not myself) should step in with advice here, or perhaps with a link to some older thread where those details were discussed.
Best regards: dlanor
Look here: http://psx-scene.com/forums/f153/%5B...15000-a-59958/ ([TUTORIAL] How to install FMCB on japanese models SCPH-10000 & SCPH-15000)
If you need any further help (Like on how to get some of the files), you may contact me via PM.
I am, however, not authorized to install FMCB for you though (As per the rules here).
Like all retail PS2s, the SCPH-10000 and SCPH-15000 consoles will not read burned discs without modification.
The tutorial linked to above uses a slightly modified version of the independence exploit.
If your console can already boot burned discs (In other words, it has a modchip), then you will probably not need the independence exploit (But only need to compile a CD-ROM that can be booted by your PS2).
However, you still need to place the required files in the required locations for the FMCB installer to work properly.
As for me, I had used the independence exploit to boot a modified version of uLaunchELF v4.30 on my SCPH-10000 console, before starting up the FMCB installer from a USB disk.

Please a friend of mine says he saw some one who uses FMCB on his modern slim line ps2, is it possible can the new consoles without external adapters be hacked to use FCMB? if yes someone please tell me how.
Thanks
PS2s with BIOS 2.30 (and higher) [SCPH-900xx starting with Datecode 8C and newer] will not auto-start FMCB from MC and thus also can not be hacked this way.
If he can use FMCB on his SCPH-900xx directly, it has BIOS 2.20.
Look at the date-code on his PS2.
It isn't higher than 8C, if he said he can run it...
Thanks for the reply Tna, can you tell me how to get the BIOS or how do i look up the 8C you made mention of?
Thanks
Please is there a way to shrinkv or reduce the actual size of my ISO or Games i am really not having a big memory for my games,
Let me know how if yes.
Thanks.
