FMCB,how does this thing work

i have FMCB 1.5 (conf 1.0) installed on my mem card
it's set up to launch ESR automatically but if i put in a disc it just goes to a black screen & stays there

it also doesn't seem to boot into anything but the configurator, it's configured like so:
AUTO : MC0:/BOOT/BOOT1.ELF
X : MC0:/BOOT/FMCB_CFG.ELF
[] : MC0:/BOOT/BOOT2.ELF
L1 : MC0:/BOOT/BOOT3.ELF
R1 : MC0/BOOT/BOOT1.ELF

i press the buttons on boot up,but it just goes to the PS intro screen
i have a model 79001 so it should work

you are using an Old version check my signature it has all you need about FMCB ..

i messed around in there & it seems the paths aren't set right or something...it looks like you can run the ELFs from the config screen by pressing start, all of them say file not found cept the CFG one

your tutorials don't seem to address this issue, least not anywhere i can see...i'm not trying to install it, it's on my memory card. unless i actually do have to do that, if so that step wasn't explained, i assume that the install tutorials are for getting it onto the mem card

OK i got it working, i kept messing in the configurator & found all the file paths

Update your FMCB install.... then, if it still doesn't work, ask again. ESR and HDLOADER and SMS are integrated into the config of 1.6+ automatically...

Plain and simple: update FMCB.

do not use 1.6. Do the update, to fmcb 1.8b....dj

And if you really have issues do the FMCB noob install which will have everything nicely preset for you then you can modify it from there.

i already got it working that same day guys...but now that you mention updating how easy/hard is that to do?? i didn't install FMCB myself on the memory card, i used the install service thread to find someone
it's working fine so i don't wanna **** anything up

what would be the pros & cons of updating??

1. Get all the newest files ,

2. All you will need to do, is download them.
3. Save them to a USB stick.
4. Start up ULe, browse to your USB stick, scroll down and on the new BOOT.ELF hit X, hit R1 and copy.
Browse to your MC, go into BOOT folder Hit R1 again and paste.

5. And follow the link in my signature on how to INSTALL FMCB update....DJ

but why should i update?? it's working fine...& i only really want it to play backed up games. it has the newest ESR, & HDloader if i ever wanna run from an external HD
unless there's a really good reason i don't wanna mess around in there
