Do you mean card like this one?
    http://cgi.ebay.de/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?...m=370133948191

I'm trying to get another memcard for FMCB but I don't want to buy an incompatible card. Does the 64MB versions of these yellow-packaged fakes also work?

"Fakes" would indicate there are official ones floating around, there are not.
That's the packaging mine came in. It took about 2 weeks to ship to the states,
dunno how long it's gonna take for you in Europe.

I'm in the UK and got mine from Hong Kong in 8 days.

The 64 MB version should work fine, but I'd presonally go for the 128 MB version since it doesn't cost much more.

Any chance of seeing an English version my Polish isn't so good.
I tried formatting my card but it only shows either 7,996KB or 7,998KB shouldn't it be 8,000KB? when I use it in FMCB's installer it says 7.8MB

    Hi,

Here is the correct one (attachment). It should be considered MC Annihilator 1.0a version.

This tool is quite useful in some cases, but unfortunately it never got popular... That's why I dropped real development and just made some fixes to make it suit my needs.

Its obvious advantage is that this tool doesn't actually use any kind of embedded mcman/whatever function to format the card. It works all the way at low level, writing to the card page by page. This way you can format it to any number of blocks (cmd version, in GUI you can choose any of 8/16/32/64/128 MB), move some critical parts of the filesystem and even fool mcman a little bit to make few things easier and faster . It also has quite good bad block checker (hehe, it should handle fine any case.... unless it's first block that got screwed - this cannot be fixed), so can be used to "repair" some old/broken cards. I have a version that does extended scan for bad sectors (useful for old and worn cards... for blocks that only sometimes give problems), but the method wasn't used in the file I posted. Some time ago I have resumed work on it, planned to make bilingual polish/english and dual system pal/ntsc version, also add some nice features like filesystem defragmentation, card reliability checker, card info screen and similar... but then again I got a lot more on my head that I was expecting, so I had to postpone work on many of the projects. But I guess it will eventually come out sooner or later.

And oh, you're welcome... glad I could help.

BTW. The app works just as well with PSX memory cards (but the card has to be properly detectable in ps2 mode - not all are, some are visible only in psx mode, while e.g. ps2 browser will show empty slot).
Thanks a lot for this tool (an authentic "hidden pearl") and post!

    Just registering a humble suggestion:
IMO the MC Annihilator is the best MC management tool ever made, and I believe it could get a wide range of users if a English translation was made for that and released into a new and specific thread - or maye using a existent and related one, for instance: "English version of this MC Annihilator" (http://www.psx-scene.com/forums/showthread.php?t=63577).

    BR,

I also would like an english version, if it exists.

I buy only one 128 MB card, and had problems with it, and i dont wanna do that again to myself. Now i have 2 pcs of 64 and im good.

Now it exists. The English (actually multilingual, but I need people to translate it to other languages first ^^), version (with quite a few updates) is available here:

    http://psx-scene.com/forums/showthread.php?t=65652 (Release: MC Annihilator v2.0)

    PS. Thanks for being patient
