I'm addicted to having space as well, but I can't see sacrificing both speed and functionality at the same time.
yeah, the 64mb memcard is already slow enough at certain operations. can't even imagine how badly does 128mb perform.

Could some timeout be the problem why starting elfs does not work from osdsys with high capacity mc:s?

However when you try to launch any elf from the OSD menu it will restart FMCB giving you a second chance to hit one of your E1 buttons.
I assume this issue will be fixed, with the new elf-loader, in OSD.
It might help, but I couldn't test it myself, because the biggest card I have is a Datel 32MAX which works perfectly with FMCB 1.7 last Build.

This is my suspicion as well. The elf launching most likely has some kind of time out and restart that isn't too tolerant of the time it takes a ps2 to calculate 128mb of capacity. We could be wrong, but this is one theory.

I have over 450 gamesaves. 8mb or 128mb is meaningless. uLE has a file explorer that works great to backup your memory cards to HD (1gb partition should be more than enough for most people).

That way I can use a fast and reliable official 8mb memory card.

Yes I am aware of the copy and mcpaste functions

However, where is the convenience in trying to find your gamesave (by slus# lol), copy it to the MC, and then run HDL, and then decide to play a different game
(I do believe this process takes longer than 2 seconds (even counting slowly))

If I didn't like this memory card in any way, I wouldn't have posted it a success. Have fun memorizing slus numbers...

I always get Ulaunch to show save folders with friendly game names instead of the slus ID, it think its easy to do when you sort by "name" if i remember..?

I totally forgot about the L1 menu. Eh, 128mb still bigger and faster.

Lol, u can discuss all day long, It's a matter of personal flavour..
I wouldn't mind a 128 MB MC, cause my sisters don't know how to work uLe and stuff.. not like they know what's slow or fast if they don't got anything to compare :P
