Just got 2, 128mb ps2 memory cards in from ebay / hong kong and they work with FMCB 1.7!
Only 1 issue to report. You have to use one of the E1 buttons when booting in order to launch an elf (set in your E1 presets). If you miss your opportunity, it will load the hacked OSD as normal. However when you try to launch any elf from the OSD menu (including the configurator) it will restart FMCB giving you a second chance to hit one of your E1 buttons. I have tested this working with SMS 2.8r6 and uLE 4.30 and the configurator.

Time to throw those 8mb's where they belong.......(to me so I can mod them with an activity led)

Read and write times are delayed somewhat (about 2s), as expected. But it's worth it if you play games on the ps2 as well as have all the programs we do.

It's ok, but call me old fashioned, but I still prefer my 8MB cards with every thing else on a 2GB USB thumb drive. Load times are quick, and I can store more.

The ones that look like they are in official yellow backed packaging, there's PLENTY of them on ebay.

You must not play many games. Well I really don't either the past few years, I have gamesaves I haven't played in over 3 years lol. 128mb in a mc is a necessity for some, and not so necessary for others. I'm addicted to lots of space

I'm addicted to having space as well, but I can't see sacrificing both speed and functionality at the same time. But to each their own. And no, I don't play too many games since I spend a fair amount of free time helping out on forums.
