    I use a moded PS2 with Modbo760-Z to install FCMB fron a CD. After installing with noobie package at restart it only show logo.
    If i try to start FCMB configurator from CD all i see is a black screen and then nothing. All this after i formated my Sony MC 8MB.
    It is possible to install FCMB to this card?

    If its the same console your trying to run FMCB from, it is most likely the Modchip conflicting with FMCB. Try disabling the chip if you can, then run FMCB again.
    PS2 Consoles:
    SCPH-30001 [V4] - unmodded (2)
    SCPH-30001-R [V5] DMS4 Pro SE
    SCPH-50001-N [V9] CC 2.0 SLE
    SCPH-79001 [V16] Silver - unmodded

    I'm assuming you followed the instructions in CD Installing on http://freemcboot.info/disc.php correct? If it's hanging up after the splash screen and you're asking if it's supposed to be installed in the memory card, I'm wondering if you missed a step in the process.

    What about trying to burn uLE with the noobie package in the CD instead?

    You can have the following files in your root menu.
    BOOT.ELF (uLE 4.40, I think. Just copy/paste your BOOT.ELF from the noobie package and paste to the CD Root.
    Noobie Package folder included here http://freemcboot.info/noobie.php
    SYSTEM.CNF configured with the following code:
    Code:
    BOOT2 = cdrom0:\BOOT.ELF;1
    VER = 1.00
    VMODE = NTSC/PAL
    and simply burn to a new CD.

    I'm trying to do this from memory. Hopefully the code is correct. If anyone sees a problem with the SYSTEM.CNF file please reply.

    If you did things correctly, when you boot up the CD on your modded PS2, uLE should start up. Go to File Browser (O Button) and select cdrom0:\ at which point you should see the Noobie Package folder and BOOT.ELF. Go into the Noobie Package folder and select FREE_MCBOOT.ELF which should be the installer. Run it and install into your memory card. Once it's been installed, hit "Run FMCB" and take your CD out. It should show you the splash screen and load correctly.

    I don't see why your chip would interfere with the install. It shouldn't. I installed mine via chip and the only time I've ever needed to disable it was to test video problems I'd had with SMS 2.9 Rev 4.

    Yes. I did what all u say it. But When i restart the FCMB in stops at FCMB logo doesn;t pass. IF i try to run Manualy from CD FCMB Configurator it starts and i see a BLACK screen.
    All this after i formated MC with the CD after first succesful install.
    I tryed also with Modbo 760 Disabled.
    Fist i installed via CD the Noobie Package and at restart i pressed & hold START button until CHIPS was disabled. and after i reseted the console, and the same - it freeze at FCMB boot logo.
    With chip enabled after restart if i press R1 it launch from MC0 uLaunch.ELF and if i browse the MC0 is all there but dont what to boot OSD. Also if i try from ulaunch to run FCMB_Configurator i see a black screen and stops.

    Have you tried putting your modded card in the 2nd slot before restarting? It may sound dumb, but it could be that your console is having trouble reading your memory card.

    One question.
    Does it really "hang" on the FMCB-Logo, or does it loop (BS --> FMCB-Logo --> BS --> FMCB-Logo...)?

    BS=BlackScreen

    When it loops, it is probably the chip.
    If it hangs on FMCBs logo, it could be a wrong CNF or a USB-Stick which is incompatible to FMCB (or something, I donīt mind yet).

    Btw.: It is "FMCB"/"Free MemoryCard Boot".
