Hello,
I've got great problem and I hope that maybe you can help me.
I borrowed patched memory card from my classmate. I have copied her Mcboot files on my memory card, and tried booting up my PS2.
But now my PS2 won't boot normaly - when I turn it on, the light is glowing and I can hear the usual humming, but the menu doesn't show up. And it's happening even though there's no memory card in it. I can't play ANY games or do anything, no browser or even system config menu shows up.
When I switched the console off for some time, it showed the Playstation 2 logo, but nothing else happened; I'm still getting the black screen, and can't do anything.
When my classmate's MC is in, Mcboot is loading as it is supposed to, I can play games.
Otherwise, by PS2 seems rendered useless.
Both of us own Playstation 2 and original Memory Cards.
Any advice on how to restore my PS2? Somebody help me, I'm in despair!

You need to reformat your mc now you can not just copy FMCB
get your friends MC use uLaunchElf and install with newbie pack on your MC at download section at top
You PS2 should boot fine without your MC in

V10 SCPH-50001 with Network adapter SCPH-10281 500 G HD
PSP 3000 9G 6.20 PRO CFW Perm
Unofficial FMCB v1.8C OPL self compiled HD and SMB preferred
Is how all good gaming systems came to be
