Hi,
Is there a way to use a usb keyboard in all of the apps and games, or is that just game/app specific and only the developers can enable it?

Hi,
Is there a way to use a usb keyboard in all of the apps and games, or is that just game/app specific and only the developers can enable it?
Anyone?
Not possible, unless you develop your own system to load the USB drivers (USB OHCI driver and USB keyboard driver), since nobody has one designed specifically for this.
But then, even if you did that, programs (Including games) that don't support USB keyboards will still never support USB keyboards, unless you modify the executables.

I use vice1.22b, an emu for the commodore 64, when I start it directly or through OPL, the usb keyboard doesn't work. However, if I start it from uLE, the usb keyboard does work. I guess it the proper irx drivers are still active after uLE. Is there any file or files that I can include with vice so that I don't have to load from uLE all the time? I've tried a couple of likely files from another game, USBKEYBD.IRX from socom, but it doesn't work. Have I just not found the correct one yet? Vice is obviously made for a keyboard, (it works from uLE), so there must be some way to do it.
I would love to see OPL keyboard drivers.
Yes, and you have to use soft keyboard to loving and search in Netflix, which is annoying.
Great, after I plugged my keyboard into my ps2, it stopped working and wont turn on.
Can anyone help?
Oh what? Is that even possible?
Is your console totally dead? Does the power LED even light up red? If it does, what happens when you press it? Will it cause the console to power up (E.g. fans spin up and the console gains power, but might or might not display graphics)?
Honestly, I doubt that your USB keyboard really killed your PS2. It's probably a coincidental case of you being unfortunate, since USB only supplies 5v of power (Hence, unless you connected a faulty USB device or somehow connected a USB connector to the port in reverse... it's probably impossible to fry the console that way).
Or, it was purely a coincidence that your console did die of age (Or other factors, but it would still be a coincidence...).
