Wahhh im back to square one T_Tim gunna have to go back to basics and see if my ps2 is even compatible which i think it is, well the non modded swap trick was a fail durr, so i modded my ps2 which worked, and i placed in the game and followed instructions but instead of loading the uLE it went to the main menu and then loaded a red page which states to insert a PS1 disk or a PS2 formatting disc, and this is while my ps2 is modded so if i change discs nothing will happen because the ps2 expects itself to open for a disc change, and when i remove the little tissue clogger it just exits and goes to the main menu T_T i have a feeling its because the "Size (dec)" number was wrong cause i used the number that they set to 007 and i was using N.F.S . T_T i really dont wanna burn another disc, so the disc i currently have burned is a maxwell DVD+R (booktype +R) with a ISO of Need For Speed Underground 2 on it except in the ISO the NTGUI.ELF was changed with the unconpressedBOOT.ELF (renamed to NTGUI.ELF) and the Need for Speed version i have, well they dont really have any specific nonworking version but it is a PS2 Greatest hits version . . .
My PS2 slims model number is SCPH-70012and i dont know the bios number but i got it in 2004 so im sure it isnt higher than 2.23 or w/e the breakpoint was . . . the usb stick i used never showed up anywere (because uLE didnt start) and i made sure it was FAT32. . . . and after this even though it didnt do anything my PS2 got really hot even though i only modded the three parts, although this small metal rectangle came out with a small hole in it but i didnt think it was important because well it wasnt attached securely in the PS2. THIS IS NOT AN EASY QUESTION please if anyone needs anymore information just ask but i really dont wanna waste another DVD ;~;
Okay i sat down and calmed down and thought for a bit and this is what ive thought up, i tried swapping the game at the menu and then just normally playing it with the burned disc, no luck, this made me believe that rather the PS2 cannot read DVD+R or i read a LONG while back that some PS2 games were pressure sensitive, because a while back i bought a legit brand new God of War II and it would not run in my PS2 so i just put it aside and thought maybe its an pressure issue, but then after doing MORE reading i found out that theres a lot of faulty lasers about on PS2's so maybe it could be my lasers fault but that doesnt make sense because it runs the original just fine, and i also read through the swap trick and it wasnt the Size DEc problem because i got the uLE form their page . . . after reading some in the compatibility list for the swap trick i found 2 users who couldnt use need for speed underground 2 EVEN THOUGH HERE it states that NFSUG2 works at the bottom, more information on this would be nice like if it was a fat PS2 or not, but i have come to two conclusions
A: Ps2's cannot read DVD+R (at least unmodded)
B: Swap trick DOES NOT work for Need for Speed underground II. . . .
If anyone thinks differently please share, i would really like to put this disc to use . . . also i would like a new softmodding method with household items . . . . . .
