Well I have a few people who would want me to do it for them, so Im wondering, whats the easiest way to FCMB for someone else? Could I just use their memory stick in my ps2 and install it on that? Or would I need to use my swap magic on their ps2 and install it.

Yes, once you have FMCB installed, you can just put the install files on a USB Stick and install from there using uLaunchELF. Just make sure you do the multi-version install if they want their FCMB install to work in other consoles of the same region.

Once you have installed FMCB on YOUR card, then all you need is the FMCB installer and INSTALL folder on a USB stick. You can then install it to another MC card, but make sure those your installing for have the same region console or it wont work for them.

Just read the Guides for FMCB and you can find out all about it.

the card i'm installing to goes into slot 2 yes?

then when installing , it wont try to install on my own card in slot 1 will it?

i had to send my card away so i dont wanna go and mess it all up.

No you can run FMCB from either MC0 or MC1. If you are worried over writing your card just put a piece of tape on it.

The installer will ask you which card to install to.

He was teasing you man. Putting something on your card so you can keep track of which is which.

when doing a test run, and subsequent installs for friends, i've always had my card in slot 2, and theirs in slot 1.
I've made a habit of always putting my fmcb card in slot 2, for games that don't let you choose which memory card to save the game to, so my purely for gamesaves card can always be accesible in slot 1.

It doesn't matter what slot the card is in, as long as you choose the right slot when doing the install. I've done it both ways, and it work fine either way.
