    Basically are the volunteer installers still active?
    if anyone can I would be greatful, I have a SPH-50001

    Yes, I believe most of them are still active. However, I would consider asking the one closest to you just to be sure; I tried contacting one, and I never got a reply.

    i'll do it for you.... you just need to pay shipping costs both ways. i believe usps is cheapest, esp for such a lightweight item

    do this at your own risk. this user is not on the official install list.

    and guys read the first post. theactive guys have set up email addresses to ask for an install.... read the list of installers in the FMCB install thread......

    i asked to be an "official" installer months ago, without a SINGLE reply. i've been doing my own and whoever asks me to for years now - not like it's a hard process. might even be easier for the OP to just buy the tools necessary to do it himself... pretty much costs the same when you calculate mem card + shipping both ways.... i originally used HDAdvance to boot an image of uLaunchELF that i created from the *.elf file. was pretty easy, i thought.... nowadays, you can even use the official ps3-to-ps2 memory card adapter to install FreeMCBoot.

    no offence to you but i was sending a note of caution. All on the original list have been proven reliable . there have been a few lost in the mail over the years but mostly due to incorrect postage or bad packaging.........
