hello! my mcboot didnt boot up so i decided to delete the .cnf file i thought it reset but no.
do i need to install mcboot again or can i fix
Before deleting anything, did you make sure to have only that memory card on your PS2 when booting up--because it's rare that it happens, but sometimes pulling the other memory card or a USB device helps it boot up.
If it was the only memory card on your PS2, then your memory card must have gotten corrupted. This happens if you tend to overload it with too many game saves. Or a cheap unofficial memory card or etc.
If that's the case, yes, you may need to reinstall it again, since you can't load uLe to transfer files to the memory card. You will have to find some alternatives to get FreeMCboot unto a memory card. I have two cards that I never use and it's loaded with it, so in case disaster strikes.
But I am still scratching my head... how did you delete that cnf file if mcboot did not load? Are you sure you are naming it correctly? Perhaps mcboot for you means something different to me. Only way to delete CNF is to be be able to load uLe, so then mcboot does boot up, but perhaps you want something else that doesn't work???
