A couple of specific questions
A couple of specific questions –
I have no method of installing FMCB onto a memory card myself, so I plan on purchasing a pre-installed FMCB MC, hopefully from a member on this forum. I just have a few questions...
1. Just trying to understand it... FMCB is just an application that allows you to load homebrew .elf files?
2. Does the .elf files have to be on the MC or can they be loaded from a USB/HDD/Burned Disc?
3. If I purchase a pre-installed FMCB MC, then will I be able to add additional applications to that MC? I read that I am able to create a second FMCB MC from my first one with the necessary files on a USB stick.
4. Can I make backups of my games straight to a USB stick? Do they really play as slowly as I've read (from USB stick)? Can I play burned backups through homebrew? Should I just go ahead and buy a HDD to place internally?
Sorry for the newbie questions. I've installed homebrew on the PSP and Wii so am familiar with the concepts... kinda. Thanks for responding though, I appreciate it!

2- on the mc
3-no you need to install on your PS2 because if its not the same as your ps2 region then it wont work .
4-yes if you want to use a program like USBUtility by ISEKO to be used for OPL or USBA
there are some games play slowly but with OPL the compatability is much more than USBA and HDL
and you can get a FMCB for free here :
Got him cover through PM....
