Concerning the 'PS2 Game Swap Trick'
Concerning the 'PS2 Game Swap Trick' –
I recently learnt about this method of installing Free McBoot and it seems to be the most suitable option given that I can't really spend £15 on a cheat disc.
Anyway I looked through the compatability list and saw that one of the games I owned was on there, Metal Gear Solid 3 : Snake Eater. So I followed the steps accurately, I didn't really expect it to work as I have heard mixed responses as to whether this worked in the first place.
Instead of making a swap tool and taking off the front part of the disk cover, I decided I might aswell just open my FAT PS2 (SCPH-50003) and change the disc by hand. After a few practice runs I managed to switch the original copy of MGS3 with the modified version, but alas I like so many people encountered the red screen which told me to put in a genuine PS2 disc.
So I decided to order Agent Under Fire which cost me £1, bargain. Though now I have heard about sensors in the FAT PS2.
Does this mean that I am unable to switch the disc by opening up the console and doing it by hand? If this is so do I need to make myself one of these swap trick cards to do it instead?

Agent Under Fire will 100% work. I'm not sure if the method of swapping you are using is viable or not.
I actually did the hack on my friend's fat PS2 using FIFA 2004 (No one else had confirmed it, I just assumed it would work seeing as other EA Sports games did). Using a swap tool I made from a plastic promo card.
Before that I had tried MGS3 on my Slim but couldn't get it to work and then I tried it on my friend's fat which wouldn't even boot the game (I ended up applying toothpaste to the disc and it still didn't work and has made my MGS3 disc unplayable past the end of Virtuous Mission =( Backing it up worked fine though ^_^).
Looking at forum posts I came to the conclusion that Agent Under Fire is the only game that will work for Slims and Fats have a wider variety of options.

Anyway I shall report back with a small video which I shall post on youtube.
Thanks for your knowledge/experience!
