COGSWAP and installing FreeMcBoot
COGSWAP and installing FreeMcBoot –
ok just a quick question about using cogswap and booting discs, just slipped my memory so i thought i'd ask
if i burned the exploit to a cd->eject, insert ps2cd with bigger toc than current disc, wait for it to say ps2cd, press O, swap discs when it says use cogswap, and press X
if i burned the exploit to a DVD->eject, insert ps2 DVD with bigger toc than current disc, wait for it to say ps2 DVD, press X, swap discs when it says use cogswap, and press X
i keep getting confused on which button is used for which disc.
sorry for such a simple question, but thanks!
You have bumped an old thread, and I think bumping is kind of frowned upon.

One could just download the ISO of uLe, and boot that with cogswap.
Then just download the noobie package, and the DVDELF.bin file (place in the INJECT folder)and place on the usb drive as the tutorial lays it out.
Then just launch the FREE_MCBOOT.ELF using uLe
I know this is an old thread but how sure are u if i burn a .iso file a dvd version ulaunchelf will work? by the way do u have any reccomendations on which version will work?
