No. It's coded directly inside of free MC boot itself.

Free McBoot is designed to be just a launching app that dont require any additional software to load it, so its limited on its size as to not take up too much space on the MC. Its not like uLaunchELF that has many options and stays running while you use it. Once Free McBoot launches an app, it only displays the splash and a "Loading..." while its booting the app chosen.

The current splash screen is so small in size, it takes only a few kb. You can thank those idiots who are out to make a quick buck on a free product for it becoming a necessity.

i love free mc boot because the apps are implemented in the normal sony menu and it looks darned well, but with this ugly splash screen i dont want to use it ^^
i understand why they do this but a credits menu item or something like this would be better.

Well its going to be staying....so if the splash screen is the only thing thats keeping you from using Free McBoot, then what a shame you will miss out on a great product just because you didnt like the few seconds of seeing that splash as opposed to seeing a black screen for the same time period.

    JNABK said it,...
The black-screen would be the same time + additional black-screen-time, before FMCB is loaded & started.
So there is no point, why to remove the splash-screen and if it just annoying to you, most likely many more people like to see it. ^^

Personally, I like to see it so I know have the right memory card in, and know it's working.
To err is human. To really foul up requires a computer.

That last part, "knowing it's working", is what I consider most important. This is direct visual feedback that the launch is proceeding, as opposed to a black screen which doesn't show any difference between a proceeding launch and one that crashed at power-on...

    Best regards: dlanor
