Cant get FreeMCboot working

I have tried much methods to install FreeMCboot but none worked for me
First have tried a tutorial on youtube
the tutorial didn't work and i have scratched my San Andreas game
Then i tried tutorials from the forums but with other games not those on the list ,because i dont have any of the games on the list
I have tried :
Call of Duty Finest Hour and replaced NETGUI ELF ,but it didnt work after entering the online mode and adding a new LAN profile ( my disc is scratched after swapping )
Then I tried Midnight Club Dub Editon the same method as Call of Duty (replaced NTGUIDVD ELF) and this one didn't work too

Can someone help me ? I dont want do scratch and break anymore games!

Well,which version of the PS2 do you have?
It's better go get it installed by someone else,who already runs homebrew .

I have a SCPH-50004 i think its a V9 or V10 model
Can you first tell me if i can install FCMB with a friends PS2 he has a modchip on it? and how to do it?
If that doesnt work mybe you can help me

I have a UNMODDED 50004 pal fat and cant get fmcb working either, i used 007 AUF replaced DRIVING ELF , swap disc at main menu and when i start the 2nd mission screen goes black for 10sec and then i get PLAY HALTED DUE TO MALFUNTION message.
Any ideas ? im all out of ideas. This has been hassling me for 2 weeks now.

O and i used verbatim DVD-R disc burned with IMGBURN at 4x, tried every version of ULE from 4.11 to 4.41 use the uncompressed BOOT ELF , FMCB version 1.8b Noobie Package, Apache 1.1 and my usb is a SanDisk 2gb.

I realy need help pleeezzz.

Do you have any friends with modded/some kind of exploit on their ps2s?

One of my buddies owns a modded ps2 but im not sure of the model, will have to give him a call and find out. I do know that apart from the chip he doesnt have any exploit on it.

I have thought of using a modded ps2 to install fmcb onto my memory card, will it then work on my ps2 ?

Yes do a full install as long as same region or you use 1.8c it will work on yours
