Can I install FMCB with this AR version
Can I install FMCB with this AR version –

Helo all,
A few days ago I ordered the AR EVO EDITION with Mediaplayer, but the package I received today is a different version then I ordered.
The version that I got today is a version without the Mediaplayer but has an option to play DVDs from all regions, also the Pendrive looks different.
So I don't know what to do now... AR is pretty rare here, spend 40 Euro's on this one.... Can I use this version to softmod my PS2 or is it better to bring this one back to the online store were I got it from.
Edit, I got this one: http://members.iinet.net.au/~thebunny/ebay/5075-fm.jpg

Ok,
I just found out that there still is an PS1 game exploit (good thing I still have Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 2)
But before I am gonna try it this way (made save exploit etc) I just want to make sure I can do this trick because the Installation page says it has to be an Non-EVO version

The truth of this assumption depends on what you mean by "there still is".
There still is the same PS1 exploit as before, for those models that could use it before (most fat PS2)
But there is not any PS1 exploit for the newer models, including all slim models.
So if you have a slim PSTwo, rather than a fat PS2, then the PS1 exploit will not work.

I do not think that your AR version can be used for direct launching of elfs, such as the media-player version is supposed to do. You might still be able to use it for installing a PS1 exploit though (in the form of a gamesave), but like I said above you will need an old fat PS2 for this exploit to boot.

I have an old FAT PS2 (SCPH-35004)
And with "There still is" I mean this Savegame Exploit with AR MAX http://bootleg.sksapps.com/tutorials/fmcb/armax2.php
But it says that the AR version may not be an EVO one, so thats why I was wondering if it should work.

Nearly all fat PS2 models support the PS1 exploit, and that includes this model.
That statement is a bit misleading. The PS1 exploit can be installed to MC by any cheat engine which is capable of restoring a gamesave backup from a file on a USB drive to an MC, and this should include all cheat engines with any USB support at all. But the details for how to do this may vary a little between different cheat engine brands and versions.
