Is it possible to do a burn over on a bought play station 2 disc with something like...swap magic if you downloaded a image??

yes. but only if you have a modchip, or if you already have already have fremcboot/ESR in MC.
otherwise can not.

but it is a play station cd, it would not have the sector it needs to boot?

That isn't possible. Retail games aren't burned, they're pressed. Second, they're not rewritable. You can burn a downloaded ps2 game to a blank disc (dvd-rw's don't work last time I looked) and use swap magic to play it, or softmod your system and patch the iso with ESR. I used to use an internal HDD and play games off that since it ran way faster than the DVD drive. But now I play them on my PC with PCSX2. Savestate for the win.

yes it is logical that it is possible. I have burned swapmagic only for testing.

One thing I don't understand about burning Swap Magic if you have a chip and an exploit already on system then burning swap magic to DVD is a wasted DVD to me

do not you understand? so I'll explain.

what I said, only for testing!

I have installed homebrew on ps2 of friends and many others. Then one day I did this in order to launch it with ESR and do not need to rewrite a lot of games.

DVD and spend is not an issue because long ago I do not need.

Just so you don't have to patch the games and wear out the loading tray motor and track for laser eye up to you but just patch iso before making game works fine
and yes I noticed testing hehe

and maybe the benefit if using coder but just get the elf put it on usb or MC or maybe internal HD load that way no ware no tear on system
