Burn Ps2 Games With Free McBoot
Burn Ps2 Games With Free McBoot –
Hey guys, i'm new here and i recently purchases a pre free mcboot'ed mem card,
I was just wondering if I were to burn backups to a dvd r would i have any compatibility issues, by that, I mean do all games work? I'm on a pal console so I will be using an NTSC TO PAL patch and esr patch before burning them so I know what i'm doing when it comes to burning just want to be sure I am going to be able to play backups of all if not most of my games,
I have googled around but can't seem to find an answer!!
Also, how laggy are cut scenes and playable is a game if I load it to a 320gb external hdd?
Thanks in advanced
I can't say for your specific model, but I believe that DVD-R is the better disc to use; on my model, it will only accept -Rs, and +Rs, technically work, but who likes waiting a whole minute for something that should load in seconds? Then there's the lag....anyway, -R is way better. If you burn, 4x is a good speed (from my personal use). Can't say for slower speeds because the discs I burn with, I guess they can't be burned any slower (or my drive won't let me burn any slower for DVDs?). Sometimes, 8x and faster can be just as slow as using a +R, but that's not always the case (8x has worked for me, some of the time). Although, I don't know much about NTSC to PAL patching, just a little bit about the other way around.
Hope this helps a bit,
In theory, any game should work when you get a good error-free burn to a good high-quality disc. In practice, many PS2s can be finicky about what games they'll run. So we really can't answer that question for sure. There are too many variables, and in particular we don't know how your PS2 will take it. I can tell you that my PS2 hasn't given me any trouble yet.
Loading games to the internal hard drive should actually produce much *faster* performance and less lag than reading from a disc. So I would strongly recommend doing that instead.
he said External HDD so yes it is going to be choppy and laggy due to USB 1.1 of PS2. how laggy depends on the game and how much data is trying to be pushed through... lower res fmv is less choppy than hires fmv.... its just the way it is. network share will be much less choppy and as shadetail said from internal HDD there is no chop at all... well none that i have ever seen.
