I generally use my FMCB MC in mc1 since I use it as a backup MC because it's a 64mb Datel and it's slow when loading and saving and regular Sony 8mb in mc0 since a lot of games load/save from mc0 without checking mc1. I just want the same functionality with 1.6 as I did with older releases.

Just got the FMCB 1.6 up and running on my SCPH-90006 and SCPH-10000, you guys doesn't forgot about us, lonely owners of the 10k model , thank you guys! This time FMCB works fine with SCPH-10000 at first run and USB are working fine also.

But i've to fill up a bug report, related with the SCPH-10000 only, after the nice logo PS2 goes back to browser, after that i loose the joystick, the PS2 did not crash because i can see when i put/remove the MC or CD/DVD in.

The analog led does not turn off, nothing in the joystick works, also tried to change from slot 1 to 2 with no success.

Holding R1 in the logo screen takes me back to ule fine and i can do what ever i want there.

Other thing is that the file at this link doesn't work:
    http://bootleg.sksapps.com/tutorials/fmcb/DVDPLx.rar

It says that is not a valid file so it wont decompress, btw if we are adepts of free and opensource projects why not use 7-zip? Winrar is a shareware and many uses cracks to register the software, 7-zip can handle rar files and also has a much more compression ration than rar files.

    Just a suggestion.

The file that worked for me so far with SCPH-10000 was the ones build by the Oliveira's at this post, that has also the DVDPLx files:
    http://psx-scene.com/forums/424632-post248.html (Support for other regions?)

    Thank you once again!

Yes, that file has lost its first byte. If you use a hex editor to insert a capital 'R' in the first position of the file, it will again be identical to the original. (I made a full file comparison with WinHex.)

I don't know what happened to it, but I'd advice anyone who has files on that site to double-check their integrity, because if it happened to one file it could happen to any of them.

btw if we are adepts of free and opensource projects why not use 7-zip? Winrar is a shareware and many uses cracks to register the software, 7-zip can handle rar files and also has a much more compression ration than rar files.
Personally I'm not fond of trying each and every new packing format that appears, even if some of them are a little 'tighter' than the traditional ones. But there is also something to be said for standardization, and keeping to the 'tried and true' formats.

In any case, the problematic file you found was not damaged by use of the rar format, but rather by some site management tool over at sksapps.

    Best regards: dlanor

Sorry about the bad DVDPLx.rar, it had nothing to do with the sksapps software or its FTP, it is my fault for not checking it from where i got it before uploading it to the server.

It was a poorly rar'ed set of files, probably someone added files to the rar'ed file and they corrupted it somehow. I checked the same file on my PC i uploaded and it was corrupted too. Or it was caused by the MegaUpload site where i got it from.

I have since uploaded a new copy and checked the Rar open properly now.

    Outch!
    "Don't tase me bro"

What I meant to say was since you guys are against the use of proprietary formats, why not use a free one as a standard.

I think i may have discover a bug on fmcb 1.6.
I have troubles lanuching ELFS from the OSD.
I can install FMCB OK, and im seeing the hacked OSD with the ELFs shorcuts, The defaults ones SMS(latest), UlaunchELF(4.24), and HDLOADER (8c).

The thing is that i can launch the ELFs from OSD but after some time i cant. For example they launch Ok on monday but on tuesday they just dont launch. The screen gets stuck on black.

But i can run the ELFs perfectly if i boot them pressing the corresponding button on the controller so they launch directly....

If i reinstall FMCB exactly the same thing happens... they work for a while then they simply dont launch from browser. I have even reformated my card to install FMCB.

Do you have any idea on why cant i keep the elfs launching from browser?

    BTW my ps2 is a 30001R V6

One more thing I've noticed on the 10k and FMCB, the buttons are reversed maybe this is causing the crash with the controller.
