I think I read enough this site for 3 days straight now its time to hear my voice before I go crazy

Im attempting to install FMCB 1.5 to my 8mb MC

*I tried AR Max EVO method to install the FMCB 1.5 but I only end up in the AR Media Player, the screen freeze when I play the SM3.8.ELF <-- the 4.4MB file, Swap Magic splash screen wont show. (no luck in this method I give up)

    *Codebreaker (not a chance)

*Swap Magic 3.8 bootable disk method (done) same result as using ULE bootable disk BSOD after succesful installation of FMCB

renaming the FMCB.ELF to SMBOOT0.ELF into SWAPMAGIC folder USB stick could get better result.

*ULE bootable CD disk 4.16 (I dont know if this method is ok because I dont see any tutorial related in the site)
If you want to make bootable ULE CD disk heres the link
    http://home.casema.nl/eugene_plotnik...html#id4783410
or If you want newly made ULE 4.17 see Attached file

-I loaded Swap Magic 3.8 ELF this time seems to work fine (USB stick)
With the renamed FMCB.ELF inside the SWAPMAGIC folder which is now SWAPMAGIC.ELF (USB stick)
select SMBOOT select SMBOOT0 but nothing happen (reset console)

Ill rename FMCB.ELF to SMBOOT0.ELF later (done) I think this method works better than renaming it to SWAPMAGIC.ELF

I think this method is not needed when your using ULE system so I dont wanna go further.

-I loaded directly the FMCB.ELF and wow it works (USB stick) this is my last hope atm

I REFORMAT my MC with the FMCB functionality to make sure everything is fresh.
Doing Normal install to my MC... Free McBoot Installed sucessfully ! YAY!
    Pressed triangle to turnoff PS2
I remove the ULE bootable disk and keep my USB stick because it has mass:/BOOT/BOOT.ELF in case of auto boot
Turn on the console but the screen seems flickers BSOD Turn on again but same thing happen,
So booted with ULE disk this time I copied the BOOT.ELF from USB stick to mc0:/BOOT/ folder, reset but same thing happen screen flckers repeatedly BSOD I cant remove my MC at this point it could damage my MC so I turn it off
I remove my MC and my PS2 starts to boot normally (sigh.. I thought I had it)
So booted the ULE disk again and check my 8mb MC it has 7.7mb free
I mark all the 3 folder to get size it contains only 113.3k inside my MC
Wheres the 1.6mb DVDELF.bin that everybodies talking about? OSDMAIN.ELF only contains 75k the only biggest file inside my MC after I installed the FMCB
    No DVDELF.bin inside my MC

My USB stick that time has label Im going to remove it later maybe it will increase its compatibility (done) I think its better to remove tha label

Im going to add BOOT1.ELF later (done) Its better to have this one in your USB stick just in case because I cant rename inside ULE system
    Attached Files

    - The chip is not compatible with USBADVANCE you have to disable it.
    - Wishing someone could make a program that will allow us to disable a modchip temporarilly without the hassle of resetting it five times

    You don't need to have a 1.6MB-DVDELF.bin.
Instead, you have a Mini-DVDELF.bin (DVDPLx). <-- You can see, that your OSDMAIN.ELF (or how it is named by you) is only ~74KB big.
If it is successfully installed (seems like it is), just place a file you want to boot to mass as "RESCUE.ELF".
It starts, like the first exploits (ever, if found).
It directly loads the ELF, without pressing a button.
All other features are also disabled, while this (no CNF-, Buttonlaunch-, Fastboot-, ... -Support.) <-- 1st search, before all other, so THIS IS, what N00bs should use, if they wouldn't mess around with higher levels of the exploit.

    So,...

Copy BOOT.ELF to the same dir, where the installer is and re-execute the installer, or just copy an ELF as "RESCUE.ELF" to the root of your USB-Stick (needs 1.5 FMCB to work, else you need an other method).

Btw.: You maybe should leave some information, regarding your PS2-Hardware (i.e.: SCPH-Number,...).
I assume it is a slim, or you embedded your own DVDPLx, without knowing it. ^^

I see so all I have to is to copy the BOOT.ELF where the installer of FMCB.ELF is and re-execute the installer maybe this should do the trick. (how come tutorials never mentioned about this?)

or copy the ELF as "RESCUE.ELF"???
You want me to rename the BOOT.ELF into RESCUE.ELF and place it on the root of my USB stick?

My hardware is in my signature

...this way, FMCB-Installer should auto-copy it to mc0:/BOOT/BOOT.ELF

Exactly! This should work, IF the Xploit itself is installed properly (75KB-osdmain.elf) --> Needs FMCB 1.5 (his loader).

    Oh,... o.k. ^^ Good (like I assume a slim).
I think you have a properly installed fmcb, so 2nd should work easiest.

I've done everything it seems this is a hardware issue

BSOD after installing FMCB to MC

1st it could be my console SCPH-7706-J
2nd my stupid made in China 8mb MC which cost me 30 US dollar a piece
    3rd maybe my unknown Modchip

My last hope is to acquire an original MC
I cant have a fat PS2 its impossible, cant even just borrow one
I will NOT open my damned PS2 just to see wats inside not until it starts to go crazy

Its not tested yet because it contains little ELF inside that disk and runout of CD but
I made another 4.17 lots of ELF in it but I cant Attached file because it contains swapmagic I think its illegal to post in here
My ULE 4.16 bootable disk was my first succesful experiment
and made my own bootable SWAPMAGIC 3.8 CD PAL without failure
    All bootable in my PS2.

And yes even me have doubt when I first made one because it look like it wont work but all of them work

Did you embed your own DVDELF.bin, or did you just install from ROM?
