I successfully got Free McBoot to work on my PS2 so I have a question.

On my PS2 memory card I have something called BOOT Folder and was wondering if I needed it on the card anymore.

I only have an 8MB card so it's taking up quite a bit of room.

Well yes and no about what is inside boot folder
uLauchELF is BOOT.ELF a must but if you don't want SMS player to watch avi movies then it can go use uLaunchELF to look inside of folder
If you want to play ESR DVD games then ESR must stay and need a list of what is inside of your install to tell you more

    V10 SCPH-50001 with Network adapter SCPH-10281 500 G HD
    PSP 3000 9G 6.20 PRO CFW Perm
