Best place to buy a memory card with Free MC Boot installed?
Best place to buy a memory card with Free MC Boot installed? –

Hello.
My brother plans on buying a PS2 soon (for reasons unknown to me, as we already have a PS3) and so, I'm looking to let him play all of my backups (my old PS2 broke about 2~ years ago) on this new one, but I don't have the means to install free mc boot myself. I also have no idea where my memory card is currently, nor do I have any of the tools to be able to mod it myself. The console he's buying is a slim NTSC model (exact model I don't know).
The free service isn't offered in Canada anymore, so I think it would just be easier to buy a memory card with it installed.

I'll make sure I get one that is compatible, that's not really that important. The important part is, where to get a memory card with FMCB installed

Well i dont know where to buy MC with ready installed FMCB. And i think no one here want to buy one, cause FMCB is free and there are a few ways to install it and no one wants to pay lot of money for it (maybe one of the "free installers" sends you a ready MC).
To get the "tools" to install yourself is the easiest way. It depends what method you want to use.
Here you can find all you need....
Free McBoot Home
under "installation" you can find the tutīs you want to use to install......

The problem is, I have no way of installing it by myself. I have none of the tools and nor do I know (can trust me, I've asked) anyone with a PS2 that has the ability to play homebrew.

I wish I could do it for you, I finally just got my ps2 back and installed free mcboot on it. I really don't have the time to install it for another, but I can give you guidance if you decide to install it yourself, provided you are using it on a compatible system. All I used was the file's you need to install, a thumbdrive, a psx game, gameshark 2, a ps2 memory card and a fat ps2. Worked for me first time, if you decide to install yourself, I can help, provided you have similar items.

I've read the guides and they seem straightforward. The problem lies in my lack of resources.
