Reading a couple threads, Free Mc Boot can't run import games, huh?
That's a shame, I wanted to play japanese exclusives. I guess it isn't for me then.
Is there any other fix I can do on my PS2 to make it play imports?
Thanks![]()

Free McBoot can't directly play imports.
However, Free McBoot can launch software that will allow you to play imports.
ESR can run patched discs. You would need to copy the disc onto your computer, patch it, then burn it onto a DVD-R to play them.
Open PS2 Loader(OPL) can load games from an internal hard drive, external hard drive, or over network. You will need to rename some of the ISO's into a way that OPL can see if you are planning on loading from external hard drive or over network. Games will need to be installed to the internal hard drive with a tool like WinHIIP or HDL_Dump.
PS2ESDL is also a program that was made to load games from an external storage device.
All of these can be found on the forums or on google. So if you can get Free McBoot onto your memory card, you will be able to play your imports.
Hope this helps.
