Add new ELF's to OSDSYS

Hey, im not sure if this has been asked before.

but im having trouble with new ELF files to the OSDSYS.
I know how to do it, by using the FMCB Configurator.

I tried to add the PGen emulator the other day.
It appears on the start menu, but it freezes when loading?

But when I launch it from uLE, it works fine!

So any suggestions on what to do please?

(I had it installed on my MC, but it takes up too much space! I want it to run from USB)

And on a seperate note, is it possible for me to have other ELFs such as SMS and ESR run from the USB, as i dont want them to take up valuable MC space?

Well I know this isnt ideal but you could have fmcb shortcut called pgen that starts ulaunchelf and set that to autoboot pgen and set the timeout to '0' problem sort of solve bit annoying when you actually wanna use ulaunchelf tho cause you'll have to beat the timeout.

I also remember hdloader.elf couldnt be used as boot.elf so small boot.elf's were made to link to it(I had one that i used as boot.elf that started HDLoader.elf but it was on MC not USB) if you could get one of these that has usb support name it pgenloader.elf or something and have it link to your pgen.elf you may have to rename this to HDLoader.elf

You could use almost any ELF from USB device. There are only a few older ELFs that won't work from USB (e.g. lenschanger.elf, several graphic and sound demos).

So any (modern) ELF will run from USB device e.g. "SMS", "ESR", "uLE", "PGen" , "HDloader/HDAdvance".

You could setup "FMCB" to have all ELFs started from USB device. But beware that you have to have the USB device always connected for such an setup.

Thanks for that.

After about an hour of fiddling about last night, i have finally got everything working, almost.

I downloaded the latest version of PGEN, and on the FMCB configurator, set all the elfs to run from USB, so i now have some room on the MC.

However, the 'almost' part...

PGEN now freezes when I try to save the game im playing?

And also, even though SMS now boots froom USB, it wont use the skins or configuration settings unless they are on the MC.

Since i don't use skins for "SMS" i forgot that part. Sorry for that.

But "SMS" itself should run perfectly.

I'm also having the same problem with it not saving when i use Snes-station?

But when i look at the MC on uLE, it has a save file there, but it is 0 bytes is size.

So i thought it may be that it wont save when te ELF is on USB.
So i put the Snes-Station ELF on MC and it still freezes! :S
