we will be glad to have you here but please take a he look at the first post for the rules to be a Volunteer .
After having looked around for over A MONTH for someone in my part of the world to help me getting FMCB onto my card, I'd like to sign up as an available volunteer to help others, for all of the European/PAL region.
I know that there is a "50 post" requirement and whatnot, but I was hoping the relevant mod for this thread could make an exception in order to benefit other PS2 users looking for FMCB installation service - because, frankly, unless one has a fervent interest in any of the Sony consoles there's just no chance that 50 posts are going to happen without faking an interest in some thread and making up nonsensical replies, or posting "))" or "lol" in a bunch of threads to hit the 50 post count. So let's be sensible, mods, let's help PS2 users out. Sign me up. You know you wanna!
the original intention was to find people who genuinely wanted to help and would stick around. lol posts didnt count. it was meant to be 50 helpful posts. also so we could get to know the person who wanted to volunteer .
we didnt want the name of this site dragged down by someone who didnt return cards or wasnt reliable. another part of the requirements was a daily presence on this site.
the site has had a new owner for quite a while now and most of the original people who started this service no longer are part of this site.
but there is still a regular trickle of users wanting FMCB installed and unfortunately some of the installers no longer respond to requests.
the first post needs to be updated .
if you are an installer and are still wanting to help out please drop in and leave a post stating whether you are in or out.......
maybe then amp can update with current information..
for the record i am still in but i can only help in Australia.

yes the number of the Volunteer decreased and most of them are no longer accept it they are busy maybe with their own life.
anyway i dont know if i can the change the rules you may post some suggestions and i will put it in the first post .
amp2006, in that case you can consider my post above as a suggestion to remove those rules in order to let people help outLike spud42 mentions, it isn't easy today for new people re/discovering the PS2 to get FMCB onto their cards. I myself couldn't find one single active person from here who could help in any of the Scandinavian countries, and had to search elsewhere for close to 5 weeks.
For people with PAL PS2 in the European region reading this: even if my name won't end up on the volunteers list on the first page of this thread, don't hesitate to message me for details on how to send your card to me. Same rules as stated for the volunteers: it's free of charge, you just pay the postage both ways.
Someone willing to do it for me? i tried installing FMCB with snake eater and agent under fire, both no luck.
I live in The Netherlands.
@ djinkyman you are in .and thanks for the feedback .
?you install for PAL in European region right ?
I've just got a fat PS2 and looking to start out modding it - unfortunately I can't get my hands on a network adapter or memory card adapter for sensible money, so I was wondering if anyone could help me with an install please? I'm in the UK, and have an 8mb official card. Thanks!!
amp2006, yes I'm on a PAL machine and I can service for all of Europe. I can't send you a privmsg yet to give you the e-mail address to write for me as volunteer. Any way to fix it? Maybe if I reply to a privmsg from you?
MarxPS2 and GazpachoSoup, if your consoles are supported by FMCB I gladly help you guys out. Keep checking the first page of the thread for my e-mail address to pop up, since we can't privmsg eachother yet because of the "30 msgs / 30 days" rule...

I believe it is, it's a PS2 fat, model 30003 R. It's PAL. I feel a bit guilty just rolling up here and asking for help! If it's any use, once I've dumped the BIOS off the console (the reason I want FMCB), I'll be doing a mod to fit an 80mm external fan with a flow adaptor, since the 60mm is too noisy for me. I'd be happy to do it as a tutorial if it would benefit anyone.
