Alright that doesn't sound too bad, it's not as though I have a gigantic collection of games I need saves for anyway, having just got my PS2 somewhat recently.

The turn around time here in the states is around 2-3 days each way. I have had cards make it back to Cali in 2 days, and then the next weeks take 5. So it's a give and take thing. But with all this crazy weather, it could be a few more days.
Don't worry bro your card is on it's way.
And as it was said before, there are ways to make the install smaller.
I try to get them out the same week, but my post office closes Saturdays so when I get a card near the end of the week, it can take a few extra days to process.
And during the holidays, I had family visiting, so I had a tough time getting anywhere, so I got one card out way longer than I anticipated, but apologized to the guy.

But not the correct form of sense as yet I'm afraid.

I'm assuming you're referring using uLaunchELF as the EMBED.ELF to replace the OSD ELF Loader, which I assume is what takes up a lot of unnecessary space?
The EMBED.ELF method is not advisable except for those making experiments with a view towards FMCB modifications.
That would be correct if someone did it yes, and it would also mean that a lot of system initialization that FMCB is supposed to do would be missing...
This way though, there's no OSD menu and you always are booted to uLE in order to launch your applications, correct?
The correct way to autostart uLE with FMCB booting is to use the FMCB configurator to tell FMCB to autostart uLE, AFTER it has performed normal system initialization...
The real purpose of the INJECT folder for use in EVERY install, is to include the proper DVDELF.BIN file, to replace the one that would otherwise be read from the bios ROM. The proper file to use is one of the DVDPL? files from a slim PS2, since those are only appx 75KB in size, as compared to the appx 1.4 MB size of the default DVDELF.BIN of a fat PS2. So this simple replacement will save appx 1.3 MB or more for every install made on a fat PS2.
So a standard FMCB installer setup should always include one of those DVDPL? files renamed to DVDELF.BIN inside the INJECT folder, to ensure a consistent and small installation 'cost' on MC, regardless of whether the installing console is fat or slim.
The correct DVDPL? file to use depends on the PS2 product code and region as follows:
DVDPLA = xxx05, xxx06, xxx07 (NTSC J,All Asia under DVD region 3)
DVDPLC = xxx09 (NTSC J,DVD region 6, Continental China only)
DVDPLE = xxx03, xxx04 (PAL DVD region 2)
DVDPLJ = xxx00 (NTSC J, Region 2)
DVDPLM = xxx11, xxx10 (NTSC U/C DVD Region 4 Mexico/Latin America)
DVDPLO = xxx02 (PAL DVD Region 4)
DVDPLR = xxx08 (PAL DVD Region 5)
DVDPLU = xxx01, xxx12 (NTSC U/C DVD Region 1)

Thank you, this is everything I needed to know.

Does anybody know when H4ndy is going to be back? I've planned to send my MC to him and he said he'd be back on the 4th to me and it doesn't look like he's back yet.
