Yellow screen with OPL + 1st gen PS3
Ok, here are the facts. I've got a 1st generation 60GB NTSC-U PS3 (CECHA01) and I'm using Swap Magic 3.6+ to load OPL 0.7. I have an external USB 500GB Seagate portable hard drive with several games I loaded on it using USBUtil 2.0. Every time I try and load a game with OPL 0.41, 0.5, 0.6, or 0.7, all I get is a few different colors flicker on the screen, and every game just sits on a final yellow screen and doesn't go past that.
If I use the older USBLD_0.2 or USBLD_0.3b, all the games load perfectly.
Mind you, they're quite slow, which is why I want to use OPL for its enhanced compatibility and speed (as well as PS3 SMB support).
Anyone know why I no versions of OPL will work for me, but the older USBLD ELF's will? I also tried using a different USB hard drive, and a thumb drive, and I tried defragmenting the drives, but I get the yellow screen every time, with every game in OPL when loading games, but not in the older USBLD. Also note that all versions of OPL CAN see the list of games on all my external HDD's just fine, it just can't load them. I've tried every combination of compatibility settings that are available, and I'm at a loss.
Anyone have any ideas?
