Just picked up Call of Duty World at War used ..It works with Network but is laggy and jerky in loading new level. But it plays. I installed it to internal hard drive but it only gets to white screen.

That particular game needed the system.cnf edited to get it to work in HDL when it first came out, i even created a PPF patch for that game back then. OPL doesnt need to use those edited tricks and it will only cause a white screen if it is incorrect from the original. The same applies to the Starwars Battlefront games, they need to use the original system.cnf or they too will white screen.

My guess is your using an edited ISO of that game. I have it installed on my HDD, unedited and its working ok for me.

Now if you didnt use a PPF Patch or edited the system.cnf, i can only guess it is a scratched disc and had errors during the ISO extraction process. Either way a bad rip was made and it may work on the Network, but the installation process is a bit different to the PS2HDD and a single character out of place can make the difference on it working.
