This looks suspicious. Do you really log into your PC's Administrator account with the password "P2SMB"?

Can you ping the PS2's IP address?

What error do you get when you try to start the SMB mode on the PS2?

There is a thread a little ways down about "Error 300" that has some useful tips. Try reading that too.

    thanks for your answer...
no my real Username is MAX but i put Administrator here in the forum just to put some username! in my OPs2l its right configured...
username MAX and Pass PS2SMB i get error 203..
i dont think its a configuration problem couse when i start ops2l nothing happens on my PC the Network windows is showing cable unpluged
    ops2loader.png

and it stays so.. nothing changes

if i start SMS, or go in Ulucnchelf to HOST or start openps2loader v 6.0 it starts the ps2 network adapter and i get a connection
here is everything in one picture
    ops2loader2.png

    i cant ping my PS2
the crazy thing is that v6.0 starts the Network adapter and 7.0, 8.0 and 9.0 doesnt do it....

It sounds like a connection issue of some sort. Last time I got error 203 was when I had unplugged the cable to connect something else.

My guess is that V0.6 isn't actually connecting, even though it looks like it (unless you can ping it after it starts up...)

I'd try a different cable or connect through a router or something.

i tried it with normal utp cable trough a router. i configured everything right. my confi. was the following
    PC 192.168.1.20
    PS2: 192.168.1.21
    S.M: 255.255.255.0
    Defaulth gateway: 192.168.1.1

but same result network gaming doesnt work and i cant ping my PS2. the cable is ok i tried to connect my PC with the router and it connects smothly
i get a ip addres from the routers DHCP server.. so i didnt think that the cable is the problem

Go back to crossover cable (best speed). After that, confirm that you are using your PC's IP address as your PS2 gateway.
Next, check that your file structure in your shared folder is setup properly.
Folders; DVD, CD, CFG, VMC & a blank text file saved as ul.cfg should be inside of your shared folder.
Make sure game ISOs are in their respective folders (dvd or cd).
Lastly, make sure that you have set ETH/NETWORK to AUTO under the OPL settings.
Checks out? Peek at your share setup and perhaps do not use any kind of authentication.. make the folder shared to everyone with full permissions and connect using GUEST and no password in OPL.

You can take OPL out of the loop entirely by trying to ping uLE's server.

    - Start uLaunchElf
    - Check the network settings (they are shared with OPL so they should already be set up.)
    - Navigate to host: in the file browser and press O. It should pause briefly while the network driver starts up.
    - (You won't see anything in the host directory; that's normal.)
    - Now ping the IP address you gave the PS2.

If you do not get a reply, this implies that the problem is on the TCP level or lower and you shouldn't try fiddling with the SMB share settings. It could possibly imply that your network interface is bad, but it could also be wrong TCP settings, wrong kind of cable, router issues, or so many other things.

(Incidentally, I'm planning on fleshing out the above a little bit more as part of a file transfer tutorial I'm working on for a wiki that I cannot link to.)

In uLauchelf, the network is perfect, I ping the ps2's IP and reply the request times out, so I think in uLauchelf, the network works well! however, in OPl 0.8 or 0.9, every setting is ok, but OPL can't start the network card and alway error 203.
