i usually check my isos before i install them just because... some games come up with errors even from my own perfectly clean original disk. guilty gear accent core plus is an example i think
well i wonder what i should expect to see with dual layer images such as god of war.
and just out of curiosity. what does 1 crossed index mean?

I can vouch for the games mentioned, Guilty Gear Accent Core Plus (SLUS_218.47) and God of War (SCUS_973.99 [DVD9]) work fine for me, even God Of War 2 (SCUS_974.81 [DVD9]) works fine, the later two seem to be quite problematic to some users, in case you have the same games you might be doing something wrong.

The most common problem for DVD9 rips is from the app used to rip them. Not all ripping apps are the same, some dont properly rip the data correctly and result in a bad rip.
IMGBurn and the older version of it called DVD Decrypter are the best apps for ripping PS2 DVD games, both DVD5 and DVD9. The older DVD Decrypter seems best for older PS2 game disc, so use it for games that the year is closest to a version for best results.
Crossed index generally means to index (a particular item) under more than one heading.
PS2 Consoles:

SCPH-30001-R [V5] DMS4 Pro SE
SCPH-50001-N [V9] CC 2.0 SLE
