    Hello everyone!
I was wondering where I can find compatibility list for USB external HDD that are working with Open PS2 loader? I have a Hitachi 1000 XL 1TB USB HDD that is working perfectly with OPL 0.8. Now I need another one but I can't find it anywhere now since it's an older model.... I wasted money on couple of other USB HDD, and they are not working at all....
So can someone please help me to find out which USB HDD are compatible with OPL (especially 1 TB ones), and that are also new models which can be bought in shops or are easy to find.
    Thank you in advance!

Most USB HDD compatble with OPL, long as its USB 1.1 backward compatible and 1TB or smaller with Format in FAT32.

Thank you very much for the info! As far as I heard, they also need to have their own AC power output adapter, the portable ones won't work.

Portable USB HDD do work long as its does not excess the 5 volt DC of PS2, if excess 5 volt DC which you will need AC adapter.

I see... I probably bought the ones which excess that output. By the way, it is logical that all USB 2.0 HDD have backward compatibility with USB 1.1, but is it the same with the USB 3.0? Can I buy anyone, or they are too strong to be used with PS2?

Best solution is to check at the manufacturer site on USB Hard Drive on specifications before buying wrong ones again.
