Is how all good gaming systems came to beAny new beta for us to test? And it would be cool to have a native linux version of hdl dump for pc.
Have you tried hdl_dump_helper_gui_2.3

Is how all good gaming systems came to beJust take my modified source code and compile it with make under linux. You will get command line linux utility.
Continuing from last night's update to PS2ETH, I realized that OPL's SMS TCP/IP stack has suddenly become really stable with the committed SMAP driver.
So here it is, partially tested (When launched on a PS2, the console can be pinged and it seems to connect to my Windows 7 PC. Although I don't have any games ready for use in tests).
I don't know what the latest revision number of OPL is yet as I'm not used to using Mercurial (But yes, it's now the latest version that I'm using, as of today).
Downloads/links
OPL (SMAP update) - binary: Download OPNPS2LD-DMA.ELF from Sendspace.com - send big files the easy way
OPL (SMAP update) - source code: Download open-ps2-loader (SMAP update).7z from Sendspace.com - send big files the easy way

On the testing now but one good news this works for me but how well is to be seen good work @SP193
Ok yours works and now I can not compile source so maybe a hint on how or what needs updated in tool chain![]()

Is how all good gaming systems came to beThank you for testing! Can I now assume that it can actually load games from SMB without problems, at least?
You need to get the latest version of PS2ETH compiled (https://github.com/ps2dev/ps2eth) and placed in the usual spot (ps2dev/ps2eth). Basically, it's the same as preparing your SDK for building PS2LINK.
The most important file is ps2eth/smap/ps2smap.irx.

Yes it works over SMB well but not much faster then original and it must have and IGR bug too all games black lock if you IGR but still nice this one works![]()

Is how all good gaming systems came to beThank you! This is exactly what I was hoping to hear.
I don't know why IGR doesn't work, but I'm quite sure that it has nothing to do with the change in network adaptor modules.
As for the performance, you probably won't really notice a too big difference because the IOP is really slow (and the in-game network protocol stack is slow anyway, because Jimmikaelkael was saving RAM). :/
(But you may notice improved performance in games that suffer when the IOP is heavily loaded, since now the DMAC will be copying the data to and from the SMAP interface, instead of the IOP)
I'll also like to hear from those users who have previously complained that OPL had issues with autonegotiation, when used with their network equipment. This includes if they had to fix the speed and/or duplex settings, just to get it to communicate properly.

I've had this happen to me a number of times when my OPL versions are mismatched. Hence why whenever I rebuild OPL, I end up having to really "update" it, if you catch my drift ...![]()
The renamed OPL in my IGR path (i.e. MC0/IGR/BOOT.ELF) has to be "updated" ...
The renamed OPL in my Codebreaker path (i.e "CB_launch.elf" in HDD://__BOOT) has to be "updated", too ...![]()
