This theme is a cool idea.

Have you thought of editing you theme so that the disc icon inside the case is the one from the game instead of just a generic static disc image?

EDIT: Unfortunately, it seems any theme that displays the cover image at anything other than straight on, (45, 15 degrees, etc) warps the image in some form or another.

@JNBAK: Is there no way to remedy this? Is this just a side affect caused by the way OPL tries to render the cover art? Are the OPL devs aware of this?

Unfortunately it is not possible. As MonkeyGlue said, we have defined to draw in this order: the cover overlay, then cover, and last icon.

So the game icon will be on top.

    Some new themes:

Game list area supports games up to 32 Characters.
I also noticed the file path for the Apps list can get fairly long so these support approximately 32 characters as well.
These are 4:3 PAL themes they don't work in widescreen or NTSC. I havn't created the PAL widescreen, or NTSC versions yet, maybe later if I get time

    Street Fighter

    Akuma

    Balrog

    Blanka

    Cammy

    Chun Li

    Dhalsim

    M.Bison

    Sagat

    Vega

    Ryu vs. Akuma

    Ryu vs. Akuma - Blue

    Ryu vs. Akuma - Red

    PSX Buttons - Game Preview

Create an image or resize an image to 210 x 160 pixels and save as the ICON file with the icon file naming convention format.

E.g. SCES_531.33_ICO.png as included within the zip.

It is an Option to display cover art into a Cover overlay, that causes the "warping" so it fits into the overlay. Is is made by design to work that way. But you have to assign the coordinates of the 4 corners of the cover art to fit inside your cover overlay image. Its all in the User Guides on how to Create Themes.

The ELF path for apps is now (beta revision) truncated to only show the ELF name, ie "uLE.ELF", so usually it will as long as a game ID.

Any theme should be compatible in NTSC and PAL by default, unless you use some special l33t hacker option I never gave nor explained

By default, when you design a theme, screen height coordinate are 0..480, which are then scaled up or down for PAL or NTSC. This is done automatically, so your theme should at least be compatible for NTSC too.

    Widescreen is another story though.

Yep I read about that the name truncating ...but for those who can't compile betas its a resolve until 0.9 is released

I used your OPL utility and when I switched to NTSC the game preview image kinda jumps up out of the box area. I don't have a NTSC tv to test on so I'm just going by your preview program. Also the colours in the preview program look alot better and correct than when I test it on my TV for some reason...which is disappointing

Hum, in fact I forgot it depends if you disabled "aligned" mode for element. It's late I will tell nonsense if I continue.

I'll try one of the theme myself.

For the color it is correct too, there is some alpha (or maybe other effect) added to the text rendering which is kinda disturbing. I had look at this long ago but didn't found an acceptable solution.

    I had aligned mode enabled.

Ah, I doubt it will get fixed anytime soon then, sounds like a challenging issue to resolve . Would be great if it's fixable though, I was originally thinking the "colour range" so to speak, when put into practice on the TV was less than the computer. But when thinking about it after I thought hmm that would be silly as its a TV, then after reading what you said I guess that "alpha rendering" is the problem. I can see it on the text quite clearly causing bad effects...light colours seem to have the worse effect. I had to change the "highlight colour" in the vega theme to something darker as it just looked white on the TV. But it originally looked a very light pink in the OPL utility preview program.

Speaking of alignment issues, don't forget that "item_list_aligned=1" does not work, it uses the top left hand corner as the reference point as opposed to the center of the list/image. I have not read anywhere referring to it being fixed so I apologise if it has.

Well I'm about to up some disc icons and cover art and I have a question. The file includes some custom icons I've found around the web and I would like to know if I should list all the disc ID's for the game or what. I'm leaning towards not listing any for them but idk. Will update when I'm done with the file.
    --UPDATE--
Ok so It's finished. The Covers included are:
    Black PAL & NTSC-J
    The Bouncer NTSC-J & PAL
    Castlevania Curse of Darkness NTSC-U&J
Castlevania Lament of Innocence PAL & NTSC-J
    Melty Blood Act Cadenza NTSC-J
Melty Blood Actress Again Limited Edition First Print NTSC-J

    The Icons are:
    Castlevania Curse of Darkness NTSC-U&J
Castlevania Lament of Innocence NTSC-U&J & PAL & Custom NTSC
Melty Blood Act Cadenza CUSTOM PAL (I know there is no PAL version, that's just the region on the image)
    Melty Blood Actress Again NTSC-J
Ratchet & Clank Greatest Hits NTSC-U
    Ratchet & Clank PAL
Silent Hill 2 NTSC-U (also works for Restless Dreams)
    Silent Hill 3 Ntsc-U
Silent Hill 4: The Room PAL
    Silent Hill Origins CUSTOM NTSC-U/PAL
Silent Hill: Shattered Memories CUSTOM PAL
Sly 2: Band of Thieves NTSC-U
Sly 3: Honor Among Thieves NTSC-U
Sly Cooper and the Thievius Raccoonus NTSC-U
Sly Cooper PAL (AKA Sly Racoon)
Star Wars: The Force Unleashed PAL
Star Wars: The Force Unleashed CUSTOM & 2

Disc Id's are included in the readme. Also There are 2 images I found very cool but haven't the knowledge to make them work. I've included them separately in the hopes that someone can do something awesome with them. If anyone wants I can provide the sites where I found everything (hint: mostly google)
