    Hi,

    I can't get my samba to work with .iso files. The .iso files don't appear in the network game list!!!
    I think my network setup is ok, because If I copy the ul.cfg and the converted files it shows up in the network list.
    SO MY NETWORK IS OK

    if I copy my DVD folder to my USB stick the games list is OK.
    SO MY NAMING IS OK

    what could be the problem?

    here is the details:

    nas:/hdd/ps2# ls -l
    total 12
    drwxr-xr-x 2 box box 4096 Apr 6 19:58 CD
    drwxr-xr-x 2 box box 4096 Apr 6 19:58 DVD
    drwxr-xr-x 2 box box 4096 Apr 6 21:11 ul
    nas:/hdd/ps2# ls -l DVD
    total 4975460
    -rwxr--r-- 1 box box 3550085120 Apr 3 11:14 SLES_537.18.SIMS2.iso
    -rwxr--r-- 1 box box 1539801088 Apr 3 10:29 SLUS_219.31.TOYS3.iso
    smb.conf:
    [ps2]
    comment = ps2 stuff
    path = /hdd/ps2
    guest ok = yes
    readonly = yes
    public = yes
    locking = no
    smb debug log attached

    Any idea? Please help!

    regards, gcsuri

    If you use the official 0.8-Release-Build, this is normal... There is a bug, which is fixed in newer Betas/REVs.
    You need to have a ul.cfg in your share (even if you are using ISOs), but it could be a renamed&empty text-file for example...

    So either just put an empty ul.cfg, or compile a newer REV/Beta.

    Hi,

    thank you for the answer! I have read a lot of article about the samba error message attached my previous post. I decided to upgrade to samba 3.5.x then the problem is gone.

    I think it's not only a simple OpenPS2Loader bug. It may a samba bug also

    Indeed, there was a Samba-Bug which got fixed in a newer version (atleast that'S what I got from a few posts). But I'm not sure, how this is related to the ul.cfg beeing present, or not...
    This was a typical OPL-Bug I've mentioned.

    Glad you got it working.

    You can compile them on your own... (there are tutorials and tools for it available here)
    We do not share those betas, because it would probably lead to a massive bug-report-wave and 'mixed up' bugreports for a lot of different betas...
