Read-Only folder problem VMC/CFG
Read-Only folder problem VMC/CFG –

I figured out the problem with not being able to set up VCM's or saving to the CFG folder:
I have Windows XP Professional SP3, and apparently every time I go to take read only off, it has a green square instead of a check.
So I clear the Read Only box, say yes to applying to Child Folders, Apply.
Reverts back to the green square.
Can anyone help?

The square on folders is always there even on just create folders. It doesn't mean that the files inside are read only.
You can't make a folder "read-only",only files can be read only
To be able to write to the share folder, when you share it,there is also an option "Allow network users to change my files" which you have to enable

If you're talking about the main PS2SMB folder, yes I have the "Allow network users to change my files" checked, but it still doesn't work.
I'll try and figure it out, cause I found, by random chance, Graffiti Kingdom at a good will, bought it for $2.00 because it was scratched to hell.
Ended up finding an ISO, PC couldn't read the disc.
Plays great, but the FMV's stutter and take twice as long to play over the Network, so I want to run it under Mode 4 to skip the FMV's.
Edit: Maybe someone could go into their folders and copy the VMC files so I could use them?

To ask the silly question, Do you have some videogame stores in your area? DVD rental shops? I have seen Disc resurfacers from time to time at these places. You can also get a "Disc Doctor" and do it yourself, but make sure that you get the one with the motor in as it does a Much better job than the Yank-the-Crank ones. Either way, go get some Rino Covers for your disc so it doesn't get eaten again if you resurface it.
Oh, and its Shops, Not the Kiosk Machines like Redbox or Blockbuster Express's Big Blue Box. (Looks like a soda vending machine. They could have at least made it look nice. The Tardis would have been cool.)
