Recently I got my PS2 modded with the FMCB and I decided to try USBA. It works, but the game I'm using (KoF 2002 UM) is a bit slow on the loading and the intro shutters every few seconds. I hear Open PS2 Loader works better then USBA so I was wondering if it was possible and easy to delete USBA and have Open PS2 Loader take it's place? Thanks.

Better yet, you can still keep USB Advance and use Open PS2 Loader as well. If you run FMCB, you can add OPS2L to the OSD menu. Also, you can add a shortcut in uLE to it as well.

I suppose I could do that to test it, but if it worked better could I still replace USBA with it? (By replace, I just mean delete USBA and have OPS2L take it's slot in the menu)

Sorry for the double post, but isn't USBA rendered obsolete by OPS2L? If so, why should I keep USBA?

some games sitll work via USBA and not on OPS2L. It doesn't hurt to have both.

Oh okay, then I'll just install OPS2L and keep both! Thank you very much both of you!

OPS2LD is expected to become much more compatible than the old USBA, but in the meantime, it is still useful for some games not yet working well with OPS2LD.
    PS2 Consoles:
    SCPH-30001 [V4] - unmodded (2)
    SCPH-30001-R [V5] DMS4 Pro SE
    SCPH-50001-N [V9] CC 2.0 SLE
    SCPH-79001 [V16] Silver - unmodded

I just got around to installing and trying OPS2L and it didn't seem much different in terms of load speeds from USBA. It even froze when I exited practice mode (though it may also do this in USBA.) Maybe I accidentally got an outdated version or hyped OPS2L in my mind too much.

EDIT: For those wondering, I downloaded "OpenUsbLd_USBA_0.41.zip" from the Open PS2 Loader Project - Beta 0.4 available thread.
