Official OPLv0.7 User Guides
This guide consider the user is on Windows, but ask if you're on Linux.
It maybe needs to be adjusted a bit for the latest revs when using 'User Security Level'. Worst case scenario I'll help you to configure it properly.
I am using Windows XP SP3. I only use Linux for compiling OPL. My friend, the one who sells me that helps me to configure it yesterday before I tested it on my PS2 and it works with OPL rev500. He used that on with the later revisions of OPL so he's pretty familiar on how to configure it properly. I've bought it to use on my old fat (noisy
) PS3 for OPL. We have tested it on PS3 and it's a bit much faster than using a USB HDD on PS3 when running PS2 games with FMV and the stutters on some games are almost gone.
Thanks for the link on your guide on how to configure this. I'll read them so that if in case I bought a laptop, I'll have a guide to configure it properly.
BTW: My friend can understand Indonesian a bit and he said that the latest Indonesian Translation in OPL rev500 to rev502 needs to be updated because of some inconsistencies. According to him some Menu labels are not placed correctly by the one who translated it. I tested the Indonesian Translation my self even though I can't understand it, and noticed very quickly that he was right. Even some who doesn't understand Indonesian will quickly notice the inconsistencies when they test it. I think it should be fixed by "Saver" the one who translated it or by some Indonesian translator.
Thank You!
