    Hi,
My console is PS2 Fat scph 30003 (V1,V2,or V3) from 2004. Inside unknow modchip (seems old). Im sure modchip dont have psx auto boot. PS2 Games working fine.

I have two pendrive : Kingston 4gb and Kingston 16gb. Formatted to default settings FAT32.
For copy games i used USB util v2
OPL loaded Via FMCB menu or Ulaunchelf - same results.

On Kingston 4 gb I tried to run backup of PES 6, Gta San Andreas, Tekken 5 by OPL version 0,8 and 0,9. On Every game I got same red screen and freeze after just beggining of start game ( red screen only one and last color appear). Why im getting same red screen error on every game?

Then I was trying to run Burnout 3 takedown PAL via USB Kingston 16gb - OPL version: 0,8 and 0,9. After start game I got same red screen.
Then i patched ( IOPRP Swapping) and got red screen again.

Next , I used USB advance and its working (Kingston 16gb+patched)!

My main qustion is what mean red error?
Why same error on a lot of games?
Is OPL not compatible with my console?

I'm a bit worry becouse I bought network adapter + hdd ( dont get it yet) for OPL. Maybe OPL is NOT compatible with my console?

Pls help , and thanks in advance

    EDIT. ( After fixed problem)
OPL WORKING ! RandQalan thx for help! Without your help i think i will throw my ps2 out of windows and smash it.

So anyone have same problem - red screen after launch OPL game - you need to disable modchip.
My modchip seems to be RIPPER 2 and I need to click fast 3x reset just after power on ps2 to disable it. After that red screen problem is fixed.

If USBAdvance works, try using PS2ESDL here instead: http://psx-scene.com/forums/f253/pla...ps2esdl-63375/ (Playstation 2 External Storage Device games Loader (PS2ESDL))

If I'm not wrong, a red screen might mean that the IOPRP image could not be accessed... for whatever reason. Kingston devices are known to cause trouble for homebrew software using the regular homebrew USB device drivers, so don't get your hopes up.

why don't you use PCSX2? it has a high compatibility and it's very simple to configure.

Yes, it's possibly a problem with the type of USB device you are using.
No, OPL shouldn't give the same problem if you use a HDD unit with the BBA.

    It's just not high enough.

Did you defragment your games? If you didn't disable the game fragmentation test, PS2ESDL should warn you if the game is fragmented.

I will make some test with PS2ESDL after deal with another problem

Im using winhiip 1.76 on windows 7 64 bit.
My hdd is formated by hd loader to ps2 hdd format. (its seagate 60gb - compatible with ps2).
I tried connect hdd to master or slave - same results.
I disable antivirus and run winhiip as administrator.

    So here is problem:
I'm installing iso file by winhiip (tried two different iso) and after 100% I have error: "The image install was aborted"

    Any help with this ?
